What difference do you see between a writer and an author?
In my opinion, a writer becomes an author when his writings get published.
How do you process and deal with negative book reviews?
I have usually received reviews with 5 and 4 stars. However, even if there has been a negative review, I take it sportingly and look for the constructive aspect of the feedback. After all, it's a part of the game.
How long have you been writing, or when did you start?
I have been writing for the last about 15 years, starting with my first novel, "Wings of Freedom".
How do you develop your plot and characters?
The final plot is actually a result of evaluating several experimental plots with the basic ingredients like strong logic, hot spots and intrigues. The character building is also carried out similarly, making sure they look credible, providing attributes with contrasting personalities ensuring that they breathe life into the plot.
How many books have you written, and which is your favorite?
I have written 3 books namely, ‘Wings of Freedom,’ a historical romance and ‘The Full Circlepositive reviews ,’ a contemporary romance, which were published in 2011 and 2017 respectively. I have lately turned to writing poetry also and the result is “The Morning Glory”, a compilation of poems touching various shades of life, published in 2022.
"Wings of Freedom" is my favorite as it depicts a cross-cultural romance set in the British India of the early twentieth century, in the backdrop of British imperialism, turbulent political confrontations and the fury of a freedom revolution.
What inspired the idea for your book?
"The Full Circle", one of my novels has shades of my life in the engineering college and the later travails of life in a remotely located factory and during my professional career thereafter. These threads led to the development of plot and the characters.
