What is your writing process like?
Usually, once I get inspiration I just start writing. Once I put everything on the paper that's when I think about editing..
How do you come up with ideas for stories and characters?
I get the idea from conversations, from events happening near by, from life, other books, my imagination, its a mixture of all things.
How do you process and deal with negative book reviews?
If it's something concrete to say I will take it and see how I can improve my writing. If it's just someone's personal opinion and has nothing really constructive I will just ignore it
How long have you been writing, or when did you start?
Have written as a child, mostly in school and colleges etc, but never published anything except for some articles in school or college magazine. It's only during the pandemic that I published my first poetry book..
What advice would you give writers working on their first book?
Just start writing once you get the idea. And follow whatever process works for you. Some are like who do the editing after it's all done, while some other's prefer to edit as they go. So, do what works for you personally.
How many books have you written, and which is your favorite?
I have written 2 solo poetry books, and have also contributed poems to about 3 or so anthologies. My favourite book is definitely my first one, Voice-Boquet of Feelings. For one it's my debut book and it also won me a couple of awards.
What part of the book did you have the hardest time writing?
I am having the most trouble with my current work, which is a thriller novella. I am stuck at the end, trying to resolve the issues. So, I am having trouble with the climax of the book.
If you could spend a day with another popular author, whom would you choose?
Nora Roberts, my favorite go to author. Her books are my best friend.
