What is your writing process like?
For me, it takes time, thoughts flow around my head as I reflect back to my list of stories and what I want to create. Once I have the ideas, then I sit and write. Bit by bit the story unfolds, I do research when needed and then it is back to think and write. The hours and days go by, think and write. Eventually, I have a rough manuscript, then I go through everything again and again as I flesh things out or take some things away. Finally, the story is off to my editor for the fine tuning.
How do you process and deal with negative book reviews?
I believe it a negative is honest and justified then we can learn from them and do better. However, there are some nasty, dishonest people, they are jealous or something, those type of reviews are despicable.
How long have you been writing, or when did you start?
My first story started in the year 2000, that was the creation of Bullets and Bandages which was edited with new details and events and is now in 4th edition. So almost twenty years and eight books published to date.
What advice would you give writers working on their first book?
I had to learn the hard way, be patient and then more patient. Take your time and do not jump at offers to publish your work without checking things out carefully, lots of scams out there. I believe writing and creating is an art, some have the gift and some should realize at some point they don't.
How many books have you written, and which is your favorite?
That is a hard question, Bullets and Bandages was a pleasure to create, but the new Magnanotron, a Bond of Brothers thriller was just a bit over the top for me.
When was the last time you Googled yourself and what did you find?
I did it just last week and it seems I am out there everywhere. I get a lot of requests for reviews and promotions. Authors need to be careful everything cost money.
