Author Interview - JASMIN MUNOS

What is your writing process like?

It differs between genres. i have so many projects im working all at once. sometimes i will get inspiration out of nowhere as where other times i will be stuck and start procrastinating on so many things at once until an idea hits me for the next part of the book. I guess it all depends.

How do you come up with ideas for stories and characters?

The ideas come suddenly i wish i could explain that part of my brain. The characters are always unique in there own ways. I love to name them tropical names. its just a thing i do with all almost all my characters.

What do the words “writer’s block” mean to you?

means to be stuck for awhile. but i do have a remedy for that sometimes. i couch surf in my living room until ideas start flowing and this in itself can take a couple days.

How do you process and deal with negative book reviews?

so you have to be able to deal with positive feed back and negative feed back for me its like a learning curve. it helps me on this new journey and it molds me as well.

What is the most challenging part of your writing process?

The plot twists. which i love to put into some of my books. my books arent right if they dont have some sort of plot twist or something tugging at your feelings. i dont feel like i have done my job if you havent been invested in the book with your feelings.

How long have you been writing, or when did you start?

I started back in 2020 but it has always been a dream. so its a fairly new journey.

What advice would you give writers working on their first book?

GO for it because you never know when your last day is on this earth.

How do you develop your plot and characters?

my plot depends on the story line and the characters are uniquely made by the story in itself its a wierd process.

How many books have you written, and which is your favorite?

So far i have more then 5 books but i have 2published and one im trying to get published at the moment. my faveorite right now is the one that im currently written it is a book written in like as an in the times of old book. its an adventure type of book but im still working on it.

What part of the book did you have the hardest time writing?

The love interest and the difficulties they were going to have to face along the journey.

What inspired the idea for your book?

believe it or not it was more of a song rather then a book when it got started but when written down i started to write it as a story and thats how it formed believe it or not

What was your hardest scene to write, and why?

there is alot of drama towards the ending that was a little bit harder to write but the idea kind of flowed in at last minute and i went with the flow.

What do you need in your writing space to help you stay focused?

music and snacks

If you could spend a day with another popular author, whom would you choose?

im not sure because there are so many good authors.

When was the last time you Googled yourself and what did you find?

years ago. i found pictures of myself nothing really big.
